Customer Replaceable Units (cartridges)
In addition to consumables, the DocuColor 12 is designed with four
customer replaceable units (CRUs) which enable reduction in service
frequency and higher uptime of the product.

These CRUs are easily
and cleanly handled by the customer.

One of each CRU is shipped with equipment.

Replacement CRUs must be ordered when indicated by the
Equipment.  Full Service Maintenance customers order
replacement CRUs through the Xerox Customer Support Center
(1-800-821-2797 US or 1-800-939-3769 Canada).  Time &
Materials Maintenance customers order replacement CRUs
through the Logistics Customer Support Center at 1-800-828-
5881.

The average CRU life is 40,000 impressions, but this will vary
depending on customer usage patterns, such as job length, area
coverage, and color / BW page mix.

Network Connectivity

To extend the capabilities of the DocuColor 12, Xerox provides a
variety of powerful connectivity solutions.  Refer to the "Customer
Expectation Setting Document" for each of the Digital Front Ends for
further detail.

Volume Range / Position / Performance
The DocuColor 12 is designed to provide “benchmark” image quality
and performance for its product class.  This product is designed to be
operated in the range of 7,000 to 30,000 prints per month, 50 - 80% of
which are color copies or prints.   The number of copies or prints
between service calls on a digital color copier / printer is highly
dependent on customer expectations of quality and the use of
applications and throughput  materials.  At an average usage of
15,000 copies or prints per month, it is expected that service will be
required about once every 4 to 6 weeks.

Print Speed

The DocuColor 12 Printer maintains the same print speed whether it is
performing single sided printing or 2-sided printing.  Therefore, the
number of “images” per minute will be the same for 2-sided printing as
it is for single sided printing.

Image Quality
The DocuColor 12 is designed to provide “benchmark” image
quality and performance for its product class.  However, Color
Image Quality is subjective and can be impacted by lighting, and is
strongly influenced by paper (consult the Materials Usage Guide
for recommended paper list).
Transparencies are non-absorbent and may exhibit non-uniform
density streaks in large solid areas due to the fuser agent film.

The DocuColor 12 is certified by Pantone for color reproduction.
Registration specifications are ±1.6 mm along the lead edge and
±2.1 mm along the side edge.
