The printed colors do not match the PANTONE color 

chart for the printer. 

To match the document colors to the color chart: 
•

  If the option is available in your application, select a 

printer PPD file for printing. 

•

  Before you try to match PANTONE colors, turn off 

any non-Xerox color matching software, such as 

ColorSync or ICM color matching. 

•

  To adjust PANTONE spot color, in the PostScript print 

driver, select 

Image Options>Color 

Correction>Custom Automatic Color>Spot Colors. 

Note: 

Printed PANTONE color charts can fade over time 

or when exposed to sunlight. If the printed color charts 

have been exposed to light for an extended period, 

reprint them. 
•

  Compare the printed color charts with the PANTONE 

Color swatch available from PANTONE, Inc. 

•

  To preserve the color, store printed PANTONE color 

charts in a dark place. 

Note: 

If the paper type is unsupported, does not meet 

specifications, or is at the end of its useful life, color 

adjustments can be ineffective.
