MeetingTime Software
MeetingTime is software that runs on desktop computers. It communicates
with MeetingPlace over the LAN or WAN using TCP/IP, an industry-
standard networking protocol. The software uses an intuitive graphical user
interface and provides access to advanced MeetingPlace features that are not
available over the telephone.
With every MeetingPlace system, five MeetingTime licenses are included.
As system manager, you will use MeetingTime to configure the system, run
reports, monitor capacity, and run routine system management functions, as
described later in this chapter.
Your organization’s help desk department can also use MeetingTime to
handle end user problems, monitor meetings, and control in-session
features.
Information on using MeetingTime as a system manager is provided later in
this chapter.
MeetingPlace Options
MeetingPlace can be purchased in a standard, voice-only configuration,
which includes server hardware, server software, and desktop software
components with additional software options. You can also purchase
individual software options.
Server software resides internally in the MeetingPlace server. Desktop
software is installed on customer-provided Windows servers. This software
communicates with the MeetingPlace server over your LAN or WAN.
For information about server hardware components, see the MeetingServer
Installation Planning Guide.
