SNMP Traps 
The following table describes the SNMP traps supported by the 
MeetingPlace SNMP service. 
Whenever a MeetingPlace server generates an alarm condition, it categorizes 
that condition as either hardware or software and major or minor. It then 
generates the appropriate trap for that alarm. These traps contain additional 
information, including the actual alarm code, as a payload.  
For information on the format of the major and minor hardware and software 
traps, refer to the lattraps.mib, located on the Latitude Customer Support 
Resource Center (http://support.latitude.com/). Note that these traps are 
generated in addition to any T1 or GWSIM traps, and the same condition 
may generate more than one trap as a result.

Generic trap for all devices. 
Signifies that the sending protocol 
entity is reinitializing itself such that 
the agent's configuration or the 
protocol entity implementation may 
be altered.  
Normally encountered when the 
Conference Server has been 
restarted.

Signifies that the sending protocol 
entity recognizes that some event 
has occurred.  
This trap value indicates any of the 
Gateway exceptions described in the 
next table, which are detected from 
the MeetingPlace systems. Once you 
receive such a trap, check the 
exception log to learn what has 
happened. 
Gateway SIM 
(GWSIM)
