Using MeetingTime
MeetingTime is desktop software that communicates with your MeetingPlace 
8112 or 8106 conference server over the LAN or WAN. Your users can take 
advantage of MeetingTime to set up, attend, and review their conferences. 
You use MeetingTime to perform system management functions.
As system manager, you can use MeetingTime to:
Configure the system and MeetingPlace user profiles
Run reports or raw data exports
Run capacity management tools
Perform common system management tasks
Accessing MeetingTime
To access MeetingTime, you need the following:
Your MeetingPlace user ID and password
. These allow you to access 
MeetingPlace over the LAN or WAN. The MeetingPlace user ID and 
password are different from the profile number and password used for 
accessing MeetingPlace over the touch-tone phone.
The MeetingPlace address
. The hostname or IP address of your 
MeetingPlace conference server. You should have assigned a hostname for 
your MeetingPlace conference server during the installation process.

OTE
System managers usually assign MeetingPlace user IDs to match 
e-mail or network user names.
Monthly
• Run and review a system usage report
• Run the monthly trending capacity management tools to review system usage, 
conferencing growth, and service levels
• Update and save the historical data file for the monthly trending tools
• Perform internal bill backs
Planning/strategy
• Coordinate profile import strategy
• Train other employees who have user support responsibilities
• Define processes for handling MeetingPlace alarms
• Review system usage and capacity requirements
As needed
• Respond to alarm conditions
• Coordinate planned outages (such as relocations and software upgrades)
• Act as contact to MeetingPlace Customer Support Center
