Update Settings on Cisco TMS when a System is Moved to a
New Location
In order to communicate with a system, Cisco must have a network address such as an IP address or  Domain
Name System (DNS) hostname address.
A system is uniquely identified in Cisco TMS by the Track system on network by setting defined for each
system. This setting can be set to an IP address, MAC address, or a hostname. When you use MAC address or
hostname choices, the IP address used to reach the system can be automatically updated if the system's actual
IP address changes.
Note: Track by MAC Address or Hostname is not supported for all device types.
