When you change the configuration of the Web Security appliance, you must commit the
changes before they go into effect. Or, you can choose to clear the changes you have made if
you do not want to commit them. How you commit and clear changes depends on the

Committing and Clearing Changes in the Web Interface
Commit changes using the Commit Changes button in the upper right corner of the web
interface. You can make multiple configuration changes before you commit all of them. When
you make a change, the Commit Changes button color is yellow and the button text changes
to “Commit Changes” as shown in Figure 2-2.

When there are no changes to commit, the button color is gray and the button text is “No

You also use the Commit Changes button to clear the changes made since the last commit or
