Configuring Components with and without the Unified CVP Operations Console
The Unified CVP components that reside on the Call Server (ICM Service, IVR Service, SIP
Service, and H.323 Service) must be configured using the Operations Console. Devices
configured outside Unified CVP, such as Cisco Unified Communications Manager, the SIP and
H.323 devices, and the Media Servers, will not have their parameters adjusted in the Operations
Console's configuration cache.
If a device is physically not available, you can still configure it in an "Offline" mode. Once a
device is configured in the Offline mode and saved to the Operations Server database, you can
later apply the same configuration to it once the device becomes available. "Unapplied changes"
are indicated in the Operations Console's Control Center as an icon in the "Actions" column
next to the device.
