This section describes the system requirements for Cisco Application eXtension Platform Version 1.5.2 
and includes the following sections:

 

Using Cisco IOS Release 12.4(24)T2 or 15.0(1)M1 and higher is recommended, depending on the type

Cisco AXP 1.5.2 supports routers with the following types of IP-based, crypto images:

Universal (c3900-universalk9-mz.SPA.151-1.XB)

IP-Base (not for applications that require the Event API)

IP-Voice 

Adv-Security 

Adv-Enterprise 

You can download the Cisco AXP 1.5.2 image from 

. Navigate the website as shown in 

the following steps:

Choose Products and Routers > Routers > All Products tab.

Choose Cisco Application Extension Platform > Download Software > Cisco Application Extension 
Platform Version 1.5.

Netconf provides the interface for the Cisco IOS CLI API. Depending on the underlying transport 
protocol (BEEP or SSH), different versions of the Cisco IOS software are supported. For further 
information, refer to the “Netconf” section of Appendix G, in the 

Cisco ISR and Cisco ISR G2 routers are supported by Cisco AXP. 

For Cisco Integrated Services Routers, we recommend using Cisco IOS Release 12.4(24)T2 and higher.

For Cisco Integrated Services (Generation 2) Routers, we recommend using Cisco IOS Release 
15.0(1)M1 and higher.
