Cisco Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client v4.x Release Notes

The following operating systems are not supported on AnyConnect 4.0:

• Windows Vista and XP

• Mac OS X 10.6

• Ubuntu 9, 10, 11

• RHEL 5.x

• All Linux 32-bit platforms— As of AnyConnect 4.0, Linux 32-bit packages will no longer be distributed. Since the AnyConnect

Downloader will not be able to upgrade installed Linux32 versions of AnyConnect, existing Linux32 installs will continue to
work unaffected.

The Telemetry module is no longer part of AnyConnect 4.0. This function is provided via the AnyConnect Web Security module.

This does not impact the PhoneHome module added to 3.1 which continues to feed usage and troubleshooting data from all AnyConnect
modules.

Due to security concerns, Cisco no longer allows an administrator to manually configure Protected Access Credential (PAC) files
for distribution and authentication on the ASA. Consequently, the PAC Files tab has been removed from the AnyConnect Profile
Editor for the Network Access Manager module.

As of August 20, 2014, Cisco no longer supports the Secure Desktop (Vault), Cache Cleaner, Keystroke Logger Detection (KSL),
and Host Emulation Detection features.

• If you are using both ISE and ASA for client posture, the profiles must match on both headends.

• AnyConnect ignores the ISE 1.3 server if NAC Agent is provisioned for the endpoint.

• If the Cisco NAC agent and the VPN Posture (HostScan) module are both installed on a client, the Cisco NAC agent must be

at least version 4.9.4.3 or later to prevent posture conflicts.

• The NAC Agent ignores the ISE 1.3 server if AnyConnect is provisioned for the endpoint in ISE.
