Step 6 Click Commit Changes, enter a description of the changes in the
Comment field, and
Commit Changes
Note:
It is important to put in a descriptive comment when committing
changes. There is a feature at the CLI level that allows the email
administrator to roll back the configuration to a previous version. This
feature will display the last 10 commits, their date and time, and the
description entered. If the Comment field is not filled in at commit time,
the field will be blank when a configuration rollback is attempted. This
may complicate rolling back configurations.
This concludes the configuration of reputation and URL category filters
using Content Filters and blended threat protection using Outbreak
Filters features.
Reporting
Cisco Email Security provides drill-down reporting for quick access to
data, including links to Message Tracking information for each email
addressed by Content Filters and Outbreak Filters. These reports may
be scheduled to run on a periodic basis with the results emailed to
persons within the organization. Further discussion about these reports
is beyond the scope of this guide.
Content Filters
Open the Content Filters report and drill down to additional data.
Step 1 Open the Content Filters report at Monitor > Content Filters
The Content Filters report will show incoming and outgoing Content
Filter matches and the number of messages that matched Content Filter
conditions. Any report element that is blue is clickable to allow drilling
down further into the data and for the
Top Incoming Content Filter
Matches, the names of the filters are clickable elements.
In this example, the
url-rewrite Content Filter has matched on
approximately 25,200 messages.
Clicking on the
url-rewrite name will drill down to the number of
matches over the duration of the report and the matches by internal
users.
