Use this command to set the critical, major and minor threshold levels of average percent utilization of all 
CPU memory available to the MMEMgrs as measured in 10-second intervals. 
Thresholds dictate the conditions for which congestion control is to be enabled and establish limits for 
defining the state of the system (congested or clear). When these thresholds are crossed, an SNMP trap is 
generated (starCongestion) and, if configured, a congestion action-profile is invoked. 
The most commonly recommended threshold for the MMEMgr is the service CPU utilization. This is 
reflective of the MMEMgr’s CPU usage since all MMEmgrs are located on demux cards.  

 

Use a command similar to the following to set a critical threshold of 89% for MMEMgr CPU usage: 

congestion-control threshold mmemgr-average-cpu-utilization critical 89
