Cisco Cisco Prime LAN Management Solution 4.2 Release Notes

Cisco Prime LAN Management Solution provides powerful features that enable you to configure, 
monitor, troubleshoot, and administer Cisco networks. It also supports Cisco technologies such as 
Identity, EnergyWise, Auto Smartports, and Smart Install.

LMS 4.2.1 contains the following feature enhancements:

In LMS 4.2.1, LMS-COMP Evaluation Management License has been renamed as “Compliance 
Management License” (PI CM), which is a 60 day evaluation license.

If Compliance Management License device count is lesser than LMS license device count , then the user 
will get  the device count mismatch message.

On launching any of the Compliance and Audit Manager (CAAM) pages for the first time, the user will 
get the license expiry notification pop-up.

User needs a Compliance Management License to access some of the CAAM features. If the Compliance 
Management License is not applied after evaluation period then the following functionalities will be 
disabled:

All the licensed reports.

All the system policy groups except Cisco Security Advisory (PSIRT) and End of Life (EOL), and 
all the policies associated with those groups.

On license expiry, compliance check scheduling is allowed for all policies, but the compliance check 
execution is skipped and the violations will not be listed for the licensed policies.

The following Compliance and Audit Reports require Compliance Management license:

HIPAA Compliance Reports 

SOX (COBIT) Compliance Reports 

ISO/IEC 27002 Compliance Reports 

NSA Compliance Reports
