Cisco Evolved Programmable Network Manager 1.2 Maintenance Pack 2 (V. 1.2.200) Release Notes
 
  Install Cisco EPN Manager 1.2. MP2 (High Availability)
Install Cisco EPN Manager 1.2. MP2 (High Availability)
In a high availability (HA) environment, Maintenance Pack 2 must be installed on both primary and 
secondary servers.
These are the steps for installing MP2 on a deployment that has high availability:
Make Sure You Are Starting with the Correct Installed Base (HA Deployment)
Maintenance Pack 2 can only be installed on Cisco EPN Manager 1.2. It cannot be installed on top of 
Maintenance Pack 1. Perform these steps on both servers to make sure you have the correct installed base 
before installing MP2.
1.
Choose Administration > Licenses and Software Update > Software Update.
2.
If Maintenance Pack 1 is not listed (or it is listed but its status is not “Installed,”, you can proceed 
with the MP2 installation (go to 
).
If MP1 is listed and its status is “Installed,” you must: 
a.
Uninstall Cisco EPN Manager 1.2.
b.
Reinstall Cisco EPN Manager 1.2 (without MP1).

Verify the HA Configuration on the Servers (HA Deployment)
Step 1
Verify that the primary server is configured correctly for HA.
a.
On the primary server, log in to Cisco EPN Manager as a user with Administrator privileges. 
b.
Open the left sidebar, then choose Administration > Settings > High Availability.
c.
Click HA Status on the left, then confirm that the Current State Mode field displays Primary 
Active
.
d.
Click HA Configuration on the left, then confirm that the Configuration Mode field displays HA 
Enabled
.
e.
Confirm that Manual is selected in the Failover Type drop-down list.
