Chapter 14      Using SAP Adapters 
  
ABAP+Java Target
You can create a target for an SAP system that uses both an ABAP and Java connection to the SAP 
application servers.
Before You Begin
The SAP ABAP and Java targets require that certain files be installed on the Cisco Process Orchestrator 
server prior to creating the targets. Refer to the following sections to ensure the prerequisite files are 
installed:

Step 1
On the Definitions workspace, right-click Targets and choose New > SAP System to launch the New 
SAP System Wizard, then click Next.
Step 2
On the System Setup panel, complete the required information (see 
), then click Next.
Step 3
On the ABAP Connection panel, enter the connection information for the SAP ABAP system (see 
), then click Next
Step 4
On the Database Connection panel (if you selected to monitor the SAP database), choose the Database 
type
 from the drop-down list to display the fields for the specific type of database. Enter the information 
in the appropriate fields for the selected database type and specify the default runtime user for the 
database, then click Next
Step 5
Use the Java Connection panel to specify the Java application server that is used to connect to the SAP 
system. If the application server is already configured, it displays in the list box.

If the server is in the list box, click Next. Otherwise, click New to open the New SAP Java 
Application Server Wizard and add the server.

On the General Information panel, specify a name and description for the Java server and then 
click Next.

On the JMX Connection panel, specify the required information (see 
), then clicNext.
d.
If you enabled the Telnet Connection, the Telnet Connection panel displays. Specify the Telnet 
connection information for connecting to the Java application server (see 
), then clicNext.

On the Completing the New SAP Java Application Server wizard panel, verify that the 
information is correct and click Finish to add the SAP Java application server, then click Next on 
the Java Connection panel.
Step 6
On the Completing the SAP System Wizard panel, verify that the information is correct and click 
Finish to complete the procedure.
The SAP system, SAP ABAP Connection, SAP Java Connection and SAP Database Connection display 
in the Targets pane.
Java Target
Use the New SAP System wizard to create a target for an SAP system that uses a Java connection to the 
application server.
