Cisco Prime Home 6.3 Release Notes
OL-31972-01
  New Features and Enhancements
In addition, the Advanced Search in the Device Management portlet now supports searching for devices
based on the associated AMS sample.
New PDL Portlet
Prime Home now displays Progressive Download sessions for supported STBs. A new PDL Portlet
displays the required information.
VOD Portlet displays ABR statistics
The VOD Portlet will now display ABR statistics for supporting satellite STBs.
RF Tuner Enhancements
The RF Tuners can now display the RF signal strength in 3 different measurements units: dBm, dBuV,
dBmV.
In addition, for supporting Set-Top Boxes, the RF tuner can display the quadrants of each tuner. The four
combinations are Vertical-Low (VL), Vertical-High (VH) Horizontal-Low (HL) Horizontal-High (HH).
The history tab will now display a new Quadrant graph showing signal strength and signal quality for
each quadrant.
Device’s Security Domain
Different CSR groups can now be given different access rights to devices based on both their group
association AND on each device’s security domain association.
To enable this feature, each device in Prime Home is associated with a security domain during
provisioning API. In addition, each Prime Home user is associated with a security domain base.
Once a CSR logs into Prime Home, the system will identify his/her associated security domain, and will
provide him/her with access only to devices that belong to the same security domain. This will be
displayed on the left side properties in the Home View portlet.
Debug Logging
A new Quick Action has been added to the Prime Home UI allowing the CSR to enable collecting debug
log files.
An Operations user can run a batch process enabling debug log file collection and configuring the URL
for log file collection.
Advanced Search: New STB Options
New parameters have been added to the Advanced Search Portlet to support a specific STB.
