This software installation procedure is for Videoscape Distribution Suite (VDS) version 2.2.1.1 It is
strongly recommended that this software installation be performed by a Cisco Systems representative.

Before installing the VDS Management Services software, the following requirements must be performed.

• Download needed software

• Create Virtual Machines

• Install the VMware ESXi software

The VDS Management software is downloadable utilizing the Open Virtualization Format (OVF) files for
deployment on a VMWARE ESXi host. The CentOS operating system and all required software components
are included in each OVF.

The following is a list of components and the order they should be installed within the VDS system.

• Core Services

- Management Services Node

- Database Node

• User Interface

• VDS Management Service Node

• Analytics Nodes

- Search Head

- Indexer
