Opening and Closing the Housing

To Close the Housing
Complete the following steps to close the DSAN 8211 housing.
CAUTION:
Avoid moisture damage and RF leakage! Follow the procedure exactly as
shown below to ensure a proper seal.

1 Make sure that the housing gaskets are clean and in the correct position. Wipe off
any excess dirt and debris.

Close the housing.
CAUTION:
Ensure that all the cables are out of the way when closing the housing.
3 Lightly secure the 8 half-inch closure bolts with a hex driver or ratchet.
4 Using a torque wrench, tighten the closure bolts to 25 in-lb (2.8 Nm).

Important: Tighten the closure bolts in the correct sequence as specified in
Torque Sequence (on page 45).

5 Using the same pattern, tighten the housing closure bolts from 5 to 12 ft-lb (6.8 to
16.3 Nm).

The following diagram shows the proper torquing sequence for closing the DSAN
8211 housing. Use the torque settings provided in Torque Specifications (on page
216, on page 41).
