The TSBroadcaster 

 

Cisco’s solution for the OCAP Object Carousel incorporates the TSBroadcaster 

product from Strategy & Technology Limited (S&T). The TSBroadcaster allows you 

to manage, schedule, and broadcast interactive TV applications for OCAP standards. 

The TSBroadcaster can feed into a multiplexer to add interactive TV capability to 

broadcast content. The TSBroadcaster can also add interactive TV not associated 

with broadcast content.  Or, the TSBroadcaster can provide a self-contained feed 

(with its own AV content) for local modulation to support development and testing. 

Multiple users can enter information into the TSBroadcaster through a Web-enabled 

interface and a variety of APIs. This chapter provides a list of acronyms used in this 

guide and a brief overview of the TSBroadcaster. 
The TSBroadcaster may also be deployed in distributed and dual-redundant 

configurations. The differences in configuration and deployment of the 

TSBroadcaster and independent TSPlayers are covered in Chapter 4, Managing 

Output.
