4.
To add files to the DSM-CC file system, use one of these methods:
•
Drag a directory from a file browser (such as Netscape or Windows
Explorer) onto the client machine to the (Root) directory or a directory that
you have previously added.
Note:  This step adds the directory itself and the whole sub-tree of files
and sub-directories beneath it to the DSM-CC file system. Using this
approach, you cannot modify the structure of the file system underneath
the directory that you dragged in; however, if you add or remove files
under that directory on the client machine, the changes will automatically
be included every time you update the application set. If you are
importing Java classes into a DSM-CC file system, this method is better.
With this method, new classes that are generated as a result of code
changes are automatically picked up, and it is unlikely that you will want
to change the class structure manually.
•
Right-click on the (Root) directory, select Add Directory and supply the
directory name, and then click OK to create a DSM-CC directory.
Note:  You can then build up the file system by dragging files over the
icon of the new directory, and use Add Directory to add further sub-
directories to the new directory. Subsequently, you can add and remove
files and directories individually and you can drag any file or directory to
a new location. If you are building a DSM-CC file system from disparate
sources, then manually creating the directories is a better option. This
method is better because you can drag files in from different locations and
subsequently modify the file structure.
Result:  The selected files will be placed into the root directory of the DSM-
CC file system.
5.
To move the objects around in the DSM-CC file system, select the objects and
drag them over the icon of the directory where you want them. Objects that
you can move are marked with a red dot.
