Inspect the DNCS for the atm_addr Environment Variable,

Inspecting the dncsSetup File
Follow these instructions to inspect the dncsSetup on the DNCS for the presence of
the atm_addr variable.
1.
If necessary, open an xterm window on the DNCS.
2.
Type cd /dvs/dncs/bin and then press Enter.
Result: The /dvs/dncs/bin directory becomes the working directory.

Type more dncsSetup and then press Enter.
Result: The dncsSetup file opens for viewing using the UNIX more utility.

Examine the dncsSetup file and look for the following entry:
atm_addr=dncsatm

Does the dncsSetup file contain the entry as described in step 4?

If yes, follow these instructions.
a) Type the Ctrl and c keys simultaneously to exit the more utility.
b) Go to Check for Stranded Audio Links, next in this chapter.

If no, follow these instructions.

b) Type vi dncsSetup and then press Enter.

Result: The dncsSetup file opens using the UNIX vi text editor.
c) Edit the dncsSetup file so that it contains an atm_addr=dncsatm entry.
Note: The file may contain an atm_addr=dncseth entry. If so, change it
so that it reads atm_addr=dncsatm. You must not have an
atm_addr=dncseth entry in the dncsSetup file after the upgrade to
SR 2.1 or later.
d) Save and close the dncsSetup file.
e) Go to Check for Stranded Audio Links, next in this chapter.
