Basic System Functionality Tests

Run the following tests to verify the basic functionality of the IPG channel banners. If 

the actual results differ from the stated results, note the differences and attempt to 

troubleshoot the condition. 

 

1. 

Apply power to the DHCT, and then press INFO on the remote control. 
Results:   
• 

The two-line channel banner appears with day, date, time, and title of the 

program. 

• 

The right side of the channel banner includes browsing arrows. 

Notes:   
 

2. 

Press INFO again on the remote control. 
Result:  The three-line channel banner appears with a brief description of the 

program, if one is available. 
Notes:   
 

3. 

Press EXIT on the remote control. 
Result:  The channel banner goes away. 
Notes:   
 

4. 

Press the left or right arrow on the remote control. 
Results:   
• 

The two-line channel banner appears with a “currently-on” short 

description, channel number, day, date, time, and title. 

• 

The right side of the channel banner has browse arrows.
