Stop System Components
Introduction
Before following several of the DNCS Utilities procedures, you must first stop
Spectrum, the Application Server, and the DNCS. Follow these instructions to stop
Spectrum, the Application Server, and the DNCS.
Stopping Spectrum
Complete these steps to stop Spectrum.
Note: You can skip the procedure to stop Spectrum if the DNCS Administrative

Console Status window reveals that Spectrum is not running.
1.
From the DNCS Administrative Console Status window, click Control in the
NMS section of the window.
Result: The Select Host to run on window appears.

From the Select Host to run on window, click OK.
Result: The Spectrum Control Panel appears.
Result: The Spectrum Control Panel appears.
3.
Click Stop SpectroSERVER.
Result: A confirmation message appears.
Result: A confirmation message appears.
4.
Click OK at the confirmation message.
Result: The Status message on the Spectrum Control Panel shows Inactive.
