When you installed the DNCS image, you also installed Spectrum software onto the 

DNCS. Follow these instructions to activate the Spectrum software. 
Notes:   
• 

You should still be logged in to an xterm window on the DNCS as dncs user. 

• 

You need the Spectrum CD certificate that accompanied the Spectrum software 

when the DNCS was shipped to the site you are upgrading. 

 

1. 

 

Type ps  -ef  |  grep  proc and then press Enter. 
Result:  The system indicates that processd is running. 
Note:  If processd is not running, contact Cisco Services. 

2. 

 

Type spectrum and then press Enter. 
Result:  The Select Host to run on window opens.
