About the Set Up SAM Service Window
The fields on this window are as follows:
Service Name—A name for the service. Lower Case. (Should be the same as the
Event_Short_Name (Billing System) and SI_Service_Name [SI Server])
Event_Short_Name (Billing System) and SI_Service_Name [SI Server])
Short Description—Same as Service Name. Lower Case
Long Description—A longer description that provides a more complete
definition of the service

Application URL—Should always be “bfs://resapp/watchtv” for RPPV events
Logo—Should always be 255
Parameter:

Number—Should be the Source ID on which the PPV Event Use Service is

Registering the Source for Event Service
After you build a PPV Barker and PPV Event Service, register the source with the
SAM. Complete these steps to register the source for event service.
1 On the DNCS Administrative Console, select the Application Interface Modules

2 Click SAM Service. The SAM Service List window opens.
