Description
Service Pack 2 for System Release (SR) 2.2 and SR 3.2 succeeds and carries forward all
of the enhancements, features, and improvements of each previous system release and
service pack. Service Pack 2 for SR 2.2 and SR 3.2 also includes some new features and
enhancements that were implemented at the request of our customers. In addition,
Service Pack 2 for SR 2.2 and SR 3.2 provides important enhancements to support
content protection.
Features
• On the Cutting Edge: Support for Content Protection—Service Pack 2 for SR 2.2
and SR 3.2 offers a copy protection feature that supports delivery of Copy Control
Information (CCI) for both broadcast and on-demand content. CCI is delivered in the
Entitlement Control Message (ECM) for the program and may be applied to any
encrypted source. Digital Home Communications Terminals (DHCTs), PowerKEY
