Re-Initialize the PowerKEY CA System
Introduction
Re-initializing the PowerKEY CA system involves uploading the PowerKEY CAA
keys and the existing Entitlement Agent (EA) pass phrase onto the DNCS/ISDS and
the TED FX server. This section provides instructions to re-initialize the PowerKey
CA system.
Only re-initialize the PowerKEY CA system if you are completing the following

Replacing an existing TED FX server
Re-initializing a previous initialized DNCS/ISDS
Initializing a back-up TED FX server
Important: If the DNCS/ISDS has never been initialized, you must initialize the
DNCS/ISDS to apply the PowerKEY CAA keys, the Entitlement Agent (EA) pass
phrase, and the Factory Root Certificate Authorization Key. See Initialize the
PowerKEY CA System (on page 20) for further instructions.
Before You Begin
To ensure the security of your system, an SA installer must be present when you are
ready to complete the instructions in this section. Only SA installers know the other
portion of the CAA Pass Phrase that is necessary to complete the instructions.

Re-Initializing the PowerKEY CA System
Complete these steps to re-initialize the PowerKey CAA Keys and the EA Pass
Phrase on the DNCS/ISDS and the TED FX server.
Note: All UNIX commands are case sensitive.
1 Open an xterm window on the DNCS/ISDS and log on as the dncs user.
2 Type export EMCDEBUG= and press Enter.
3 Type export EMCERROR= and press Enter.
