Backup Recommendations
Introduction
This chapter provides recommendations for the frequency with which system
operators should back up the data of their DBDS. By performing regular
backups, system operators are assured that their valuable data will not be lost
should they ever experience a failure of a major component of their DBDS
system.

The database and key files can be backed up to an internal file system with
sufficient space, or to an external disk device directly connected to the
