12  After the indicator for the bfsServer process has turned green, highlight the osm 

process. 

13  Click Process and then select Start Process. In a few minutes, the indicator for 

the osm process changes from red to green. 

14  Press the Options button on the front panel of the BFS QAM until the Session 

Count total appears. 

15  Wait about 10 minutes for the system to rebuild the sessions. 
16  Does the Session Count total now equal the number of sessions you recorded in 

Check and Record Sessions (on page 26)? 

 

If yes, go to the next procedure in this chapter. The system recovered all of 
the BFS sessions. 

 

If no, call Cisco Services for assistance. 

 

1  From the DNCS tab of the DNCS Administrative Console, click Utilities. 
2  Click Session List. The Session List window opens. 
3  Highlight BFS QAM and click Display. The BFS QAM Session Summary 

window opens. 
Note:  Click Rows per page and select a number of rows that will display all BFS 
sessions. 

4  Click into the top box on the left side of the BFS QAM Session Summary 

window. A check mark appears next to each session. 

5  Click Tear Down. A confirmation message appears. 
6  Click OK. The system tears down the BFS sessions. 
7  As the sessions tear down, verify the following: 

 

Session count on the BFS QAM goes to 0 

 

Session State on the UI indicates Complete 
Note:  You can clear completed sessions with the clearDbSessions -c 
command. 

 

Session count rebuilds on the BFS as the sessions are rebuilt 

8  Type the following commands and press Enter to verify the BFS QAM session 

count.

Notes:  Replace <port #> with the following port numbers on the BFS QAM: 
– 

CAQAM — 2 

– 

MQAM — can be 1 through 4 

– 

GQAM — can be 1 through 16
