Before You Begin
System Requirements
Before installing this version of Report Writer, you must have one of the following
DNCS or ISDS software versions installed on your system:
DNCS i4.2/4.3/4.4
ISDS 2.3
Installation CD
To install this version of Report Writer you must have the Report Writer Software 4.3
CD.
Note: The Report Writer software package is included with the system release DVD

and is installed by default during the initial setup of a new DNCS/ISDS server and
during any subsequent system release upgrade. These instructions are for installing
incremental version of Report Writer between system release upgrades.
Identifying the SAItools Packages Currently Installed
In the unlikely event that you experience a problem installing Report Writer, you
may need to roll back to the previous versions of the SAItools package for Report
Writer. Complete the following steps to identify your current SAItools package.
1 Open an xterm window on the DNCS/ISDS Admin console.
2 Type pkginfo –l SAItools and press Enter.
3 Write the current SAItools version here: _______________
4 Locate the SAItools CD and keep it available in case you need to roll back.
