Cisco Headend System Release 2.5 Technical References

 

 

 

 

Cisco

®

 has made significant improvements with the performance of each successive 

system release. For example, System Release (SR) 2.2/3.2 incorporated Cisco’s 

CableCARD

™

 functionality and added new Emergency Alert System (EAS) codes. 

Taking these improvements into account, Cisco has decided to obsolete SR 1.5.1 and 

SR 1.5.1 Service Pack 3. 

This document serves as notification to system operators that support for SR 1.5.1 

and SR 1.5.1 Service Pack 3 will be discontinued.  
This document describes the benefits of upgrading to a current system release and 

the future disposition of the supporting publications for these discontinued system 

releases. 

This document is intended for all Cisco customers who have SR 1.5.1 and SR 1.5.1 

Service Pack 3 software installed and running in their systems. 

This is the second formal release of this document. This release contains minor text 

changes.
