Configuring the BusinessObjects Adapter
Overview
The BusinessObjects Adapter software is installed as part of a standard installation of CWA. However, you must perform
the following steps to license and configure the adapter before you can schedule and run BusinessObjects jobs:
 – Apply the license to the BusinessObjects Adapter. You cannot define a BusinessObjects
connection until you have applied the BusinessObjects license from Cisco.
 – Define BusinessObjects users that the adapter can use to establish
authenticated sessions with the BusinessObjects server and permit requests to be made on behalf of the
authenticated account.
 – Configure authentication as necessary for your environment.
 – Configure the HTTPS protocol if used in your environment.
 – Define a BusinessObjects connection so the master can
communicate with the BusinessObjects server.
See
for details about configuring service.props to control such things as polling, output, and
log gathering.
Licensing an Adapter
Each CWA Adapter must be separately licensed. You cannot use an Adapter until you apply the license file. If you
purchase the Adapter after the original installation of CWA, you will receive a new license file authorizing the use of the
Adapter.
You might have a Demo license which is good for 30 days, or you might have a Permanent license. The procedures to
install these license files are described below.
