This chapter describes how to use the BusinessObjects Data Services Adapter in these topics:

BusinessObjects Job Definition
You define jobs to run BusinessObjects Data Services batch jobs. The following are instructions for defining a BODS job

To define a BODS job:
1.
In the
Navigator
pane, select
Definitions>Jobs
to display the
Jobs
pane.
2.
Right-click
Jobs
and select
Add>BusinessObjects Data Services Job
from the context menu.

BusinessObjects Job Definition
dialog displays.

Run
tab is selected by default. You must first specify a name for the job, the BODS Adapter connection that will
be used for the job and a valid runtime user who has the appropriate BusinessObjects Data Services authority for
the report being scheduled.

In the upper portion of the dialog, specify the following information to describe the job:

Job Name
– Enter a name that describes the job.

Job Class
– If you want to assign a defined job class to this job, select it from the drop-down list. This field is
optional.

Owner
– Select the BODS owner of the selected report/Web Intelligence. The user must have the appropriate
BusinessObjects Data Services authority for the operation.
