How to Preview and Test a Template
You can preview report templates directly from InfoMaker to check layout and to test data retrieval. 
How to Preview and Test an Open Template in Report Painter
You can preview open templates in the Preview window in the Report Painter. The Preview window is 
a child window which, by default, is tiled within the Report Painter. For best viewing, maximize it.
To maximize the Preview window:
Step 1
In the Report Painter, position your mouse point near the top of the Preview window, until a window bar 
with a Maximize button appears.
Step 2
Click the Maximize box. The Preview window expands to full-screen mode.
Step 3
To test that data is retrieved successfully from the template, click Retrieve.
Step 4
When prompted, provide values for the required arguments.
How to Preview an Open Template in the Browser
Step 1
From the Report Painter menu, select Design > HTML Preview.
The template opens in a browser window,
Step 2
Close the browser (by selecting File > Close or by clicking x) to return to the Report Painter.
How to Preview a Closed Template
At any time, from any place in InfoMaker, you can preview any template in the current library, even if 
the template is not currently open.
To preview a closed template:
Step 1
From the File menu, select Run/Preview. The Run/Preview dialog box opens, displaying all of the 
templates in the current library.

Step 2
Select the template you want to preview and click OK. The template displays in preview mode.
Step 3
Optionally, to retrieve data into the displayed template, from the Rows menu, select Retrieve. If 
prompted, provide values for required arguments.
