Note: 
The windows bootstrap credentials are optional. If not filled, then the system uses the domain credentials 
stored for connecting the windows VM to the domain.

Click Submit Order.
Defining the Connection Information for VMware vCenter Platform Element
Complete the following steps to define connection information for VMware vCenter. 
Note
: For all vCenter platform elements, the TemplateType name should be the same. For example, create a 
TemplateType such as Windows. If a Cisco IAC install has three vCenter Platform elements, they all should be using this 
TemplateType “Windows” for win2008R2. If there are multiple Cisco IAC installs, they also need to have the same 
TemplateTypes friendlyname so that importing Blueprint functionality can work as intended.
1.
Launch Cisco Intelligent Automation for Cloud 4.3.1 and log in as a Cloud Provider Technical Administrator.
2.
Choose Setup > System Settings > Connections tab.
3.
On the Connections tab, click Connect Cloud Infrastructure to open the form.
4.
On the Connect Cloud Infrastructure form, specify the following connection information for the network services 
manager:
a.
Enter the Connection Name. This is the “friendly name” for the VMware vCenter element connection.
b.
Enter the Host Name. This is the host name or IP address for the Puppet platform element.
c.
Enter the TCP/IP Port used to connect to the VMware vCenter. by default, port 443 is used.
d.
Optional. Enter information that describes the VMware vCenter.
e.
Click the True or False radio button to indicate whether secure connection protocol is used to connect to the 
server. True is chosen by default.
f.
Click the True or False radio button to indicate whether certificate error messages should be ignored. True is 
chosen by default.
g.
Click the True or False radio button to indicate whether VMware vCenter is Managed by Cisco UCS Director
False is chosen by default.
Note: 
In you choose True you are prompted to enter two additional settings: Cisco UCS Director Instance and Cisco 
UCS Director Physical Account.
h.
Enter the User Name to use when connecting to the VMware vCenter Server.
i.
Enter and re-enter the Password assigned to the account used to connect VMware vCenter server.
5.
Click Submit Order
