Make the following registry changes on the CallRouter:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\
GeoTel\ICR\<instance name>\RouterA\Router\
CurrentVersion\Configuration\Global\
DBMaintenance = 1.
Test to ensure configuration updates are now disabled. When you attempt to save 
a configuration change you should get the following message:
Failed to update the database. Exclusive access to the router denied because 
configuration changes are currently disabled in the router registry.
Pre-upgrade Activities
Perform the following pre-upgrade activities:

Upgrade you ICR/ICM production system to the

Validate the system infrastructure.
a.
Verify the status of each ICR/ICM instance:
At the command prompt, run rttest on each CallRouter by entering:
 rttest /cust instance name /node CallRouterx /system hostname
Confirm that the entire ICR/ICM network infrastructure is intact and that 
all PGs can see and be seen by both sides of their respective CallRouter.
If any ICR/ICM system problems are observed, address them prior to 
preceding with the upgrade.
b.
Confirm that the Logger databases are no more than 65-70% full 
(30-35% free space). See 
c.
Confirm that the HDS databases are no more than 50% full (50% free 
space). See 
d.
Ensure the C: drive has adequate space for operating system expansion, 
temporary space, and ICM expansion on all the machines.
Also ensure you have enough disk space where ever you intend to back 
up your registry and ICR/ICM folder backups, as well as your database 
backups.
3.
Ensure an ICM 4.6.2 CD set is available at each site.
