Creating the CICM Child Domain requires the use of administrative privileges from the NAM domain
System Administrator.
Cisco recommends that the CICM Child Domain provide DNS services locally within that domain.
The Visible Network Card on the First Domain Controller created in the CICM Child Domain must
temporarily have the DNS Settings point to an Enterprise Level (Parent/NAM) DNS Server until a DNS
Server is available at the Child Domain level.
Step 27.
Install First Domain Controller Server for CICM Child Domain
1. Click
Start > Run, enter DCPROMO and click OK. The Active Directory Installation wizard opens.
2.  Under “Domain Controller Type,” select “Domain Controller for a New Domain.”  The “Create Tree or
Child Domain” screen appears.
3.  Select “Create a New Child Domain in an Existing Domain Tree.”
