From an NBX Basic Telephone, press the hook switch. When you hear 
the dial tone, dial the user’s extension, or use the paging feature. See 
 next for details.
To retrieve a parked call:
Pick up the handset of any telephone on the system.
Dial the Call Park extension that was assigned to the call.
Paging
Depending on your location and equipment, you can broadcast a 
message in one of three ways, as described in 
Pick up the handset.
Dial the paging extension as shown in 
).
Speak into the NBX Telephone handset and then hang up.
Do not press the Feature button before you dial the Paging extension.
Dialing a Call to a 
Remote Office
You can dial calls between sites that are separated geographically but 
that are linked by a Wide Area Network (WAN) connection. Typical 
configurations are described in the next sections.
Using Unique
Extensions
In the sample network shown in
, each site must have unique 
telephone extensions. Whenever you make a call to an extension not 
located at your own site, your NBX system sets up a connection to the 
appropriate site.
