You can provide an IP range and, when connecting to SMC, the new computers
with corresponding IPs, are automatically imported into that group, instead of
being shown under the

Renaming Virtual Groups
Right-click a group and select
Rename
.
The name field appears.
Edit the name and then click somewhere outside the field.
The new name is saved and displayed.
Deleting Virtual Groups/Computers
If you are sure there are no Avira products installed on those computers, right-
click the group or the computer and select
click the group or the computer and select
Delete
.
The group/computer will be deleted from the Security Environment.
You can use the
Search
function in the context menu for Security Environment, to locate
a computer or group, by hostname or IP.

Adding update servers in Avira IUM
If you use more than one update servers over your network, you can integrate them
to Avira SMC Frontend, adding them under
to Avira SMC Frontend, adding them under
Avira Internet Update Manager
node.

Avira Internet Update Manager has to be installed on the server you want to
add. For more details, please refer to the Avira Internet Update Manager

Right-click the
Avira IUM
node and select
New/Add IUM server
.
Insert the name of the server, the communication ports and password.
