The following messages may appear on the LCD screen. 

• Insert a “Memory Stick Duo” (page 19).

• Turn the power off and on again (page 16).

• The inserted “Memory Stick Duo” cannot be used in your camera (page 117). 
• The “Memory Stick Duo” is damaged, or the terminal section of the “Memory Stick Duo” is dirty.
• Insert the “Memory Stick Duo” correctly (page 19). 

• The inserted “Memory Stick Duo” cannot be used in your camera (page 117).

• Failed to format the “Memory Stick Duo.” Format the “Memory Stick Duo” again (page 41).
• Re-insert the “Memory Stick Duo” several times (page 19).

• You are using a “Memory Stick Duo” with a write-protect switch, and the write-protect switch on the “Memory Stick 

Duo” is set to the LOCK position. Set it to the recording position (page 118).

• The capacity of the “Memory Stick Duo” is insufficient. You cannot record images. Delete unnecessary images or data 

(pages 39 and 79). 

• Your camera cannot record or delete images to this “Memory Stick Duo.”

• No images have been recorded in this folder.

• A folder with the same first three digits number already exists in the “Memory Stick Duo.” (For example: 

123MSDCF and 123ABCDE) Select other folders, or create a new folder.

• The folder whose first three digits of the name is “999” exists in the “Memory Stick Duo.” You cannot create any 

folders.

• The camera cannot record images in the selected folder. Select a different folder (page 45).

• An error occurred while playing back the image. 

• The battery pack is not the “InfoLITHIUM” type.

• You are playing back an image of a size that cannot be played back on your camera.
