• If 10 minutes elapse after you set the POWER switch to

CAMERA or DEMO MODE is set to ON in the menu settings
without a cassette inserted, your camcorder automatically
starts the demonstration.

Insert a cassette. The demonstration stops. You can also
cancel DEMO MODE (p. 129).

• The backlight function is active.

Set it to off (p. 41).

• BEEP is set to OFF in the menu settings.

Set it to MELODY or NORMAL (p. 124).

• Set STEADYSHOT to OFF in the menu settings (p. 124).

• The tape has run out.

Playback is not possible.

There are horizontal lines on the

No sound or only a low sound is
heard when playing back a tape.
The multi-picture search, title
search, date search, or photo
search function does not work.
The title is not displayed.

Dubbing cannot be made when
using the A/V connecting cable.
The playback picture freezes for
about 1 second.
