Using WinDVD 3.0
WinDVD 3.0
WinDVD is DVD player software that not only decodes the high quality images on DVD Video and plays
high quality audio, but also lets you play Video CDs and audio CDs. This software supports a variety of
DVD features, such as menu selection and switching of soundtrack and subtitle languages. As well as
controlling play with the player, you can also click directly on the video for even simpler operation.
The player supports the playback control feature found on version 2.0 Video CDs.
The player also automatically determines the type of disc you insert and starts play automatically.
Changing the user interface
You can choose to display or not display the player, toolbar, and status bar, and also divide the tool bar
into different parts.
Alpha blending
Use alpha blending to make subtitles clearer.
Brightness and tone adjustments
Use the brightness and tone controls to make up for differences between television and computer
monitor picture quality.
Non-interlacing
The software can perform non-interlacing on some software. This means that you don’t get the comb
effect you sometimes see in scenes with rapid movement.
Software scaling
WinDVD’s scaling feature means you get high-quality images whether you expand or shrink the win-
dow.
