Operation indicator lamp
Off:

No disc inside

Steady Green:

Disc inserted in DVD-RAM/R drive

Steady Orange: Recording, playback or tray opening/closing
Flashing Green: Error (See page 128.)
Manual eject hole
Used to manually eject the tray in the event it doesn’t eject normally using the open/close button or
software commands.
Use this procedure as a last resort as it can cause malfunction.

  Pulling out the tray

1. Turn off the computer.
2. Insert the emergency ejection pin (included) 4 or 5 times.
3. Remove the emergency ejection pin.
4. Open the shutter by hand.
5. Pull the tray out horizontally.

  To close the tray

1. Turn on the computer.
2. Press the open/close button.
The tray may close automatically when you turn the computer on.

For setting the DVD-RAM/R drive’s Master and Slave (see page 24).

For connecting the internal IDE cable (not included).
