OSD:
• Press the [Cursor] buttons (

) to select [4:3], 

[OFF] or [16:9]. (Normally set to [4:3].)

• When using wide screen TV and selecting the wide 

screen mode on the TV, indications do not appear. 
Therefore, set to [16:9].

• Even if setting to [16:9], indications may be cut off 

depending on the TV.
OFF:

No indications appear.

AV2:
• Press the [Cursor] buttons (

34

) to select the type of 

external source equipment which is connected to the 
VCR’s AV2 21-pin socket.

• Set the external source equipment as follows:

DECODER: When a decoder is connected.
EXT LINK 1: When a digital receiver which transmits 

a special control signal recordings via 
the 21-pin Scart cable, for example the 
F.U.N. receiver (TU-DSF30/S3) is 
connected for the linked timer 
recordings. (See page 20.)

EXT LINK 2: When external equipment with a timer 

function is connected for the linked 
timer recordings. (See page 20.)

NORMAL:

When another VCR or a satellite 
receiver is connected.

Remote:
• Press the [Cursor] buttons (

) to select the 

desired remote control mode.
VCR 1: Select this setting on both the VCR and the 

remote control for normal use with one VCR.

VCR 2: Select this setting on both the VCR and the 

remote control when using this VCR and 
another Panasonic VCR in the same place. 
This ensures that you can operate both 
VCRs independently with their respective 
remote control. 
It also allows you to operate both VCRs with 
a single remote control, simply by changing 
the remote control mode on the remote 
control.

• To change the remote control mode on the remote 

control itself, change the position of the [VCR 1/2] 
switch to match the setting made above. 
If these settings are not matched, the remote control 
cannot be used to operate the VCR.

Press the [OK] button to finish the settings.

Press the [EXIT] button to exit the On Screen Display.
