When the cooking process is finished, the cook light goes out and the keep-warm light goes 
on automatically (Fig. 5).
Note: If you do not press down the control lever, the cook light goes out after a few minutes and
the keep-warm light goes on automatically.

 Open the lid and stir the rice (Fig. 6).
For the best results, do this just after the keep-warm light has gone on.Then close the lid firmly to 
continue the keep-warm function. Stirring the rice allows excess steam to escape. This gives fluffier 
rice.
steaming
The steaming function may only be used in combination with the rice cooking function (see section
‘Cooking rice’ in this chapter).

 Follow steps 1 to 6 in section ‘Cooking rice’ in this chapter. When you measure the rice, 
make sure there is enough room left for the steam tray.
  
 Put the food to be steamed on a plate or in the steam tray. 
To ensure even steaming, spread out the food evenly and do not pile it up.
  
 Put the steam tray in the inner pot on top of the rice (Fig. 7).
  
 If you use a separate plate, put it in the steam tray.

 Close the lid firmly.

 Follow steps 7 and 8 in section ‘Cooking rice’ in this chapter.
The steamed food is ready when the rice cooking process is finished.

 Open the lid and carefully remove the steamed food from the plate or steam tray. Use a 
kitchen glove or cloth, as the plate and steam tray are very hot.
Beware of the hot steam.
cleaning
Wait until the rice cooker has cooled down sufficiently.

 Unplug the rice cooker.
  
 Take the steam tray and the inner pot out of the main body of the appliance. Soak the inner 
pot in lukewarm water for a few minutes. 
  
 Pull the dew collector towards you to remove it (Fig. 8).
  
 To reattach the dew collector, push it firmly onto the mounting bracket (Fig. 9).

 To detach the inner lid from the outer lid, gently pull it off the mounting pin.  (Fig. 10)
To attach the inner lid again, push it firmly onto the mounting pin.

 Clean the inner lid, inner pot, steam tray, rice scoop and dew collector with a sponge or a 
cloth in hot water with some washing-up liquid. 
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, scourers or metal utensils to clean the inner pot as 
they cause damage to the non-stick coating.
 7 
 Wipe the outside and inside of the main body of the rice cooker with a damp cloth. 
Never immerse the main body in water. Wipe the heating plate with a dry cloth.
