To adjust volume of various sounds,

You can change your data network configuration in this menu. For 
changes to take effect, you must exit and re-enter Data Mode by toggling 
the 

 key. The default settings were set by your service provider and 

should only be changed upon your service provider’s instruction. 
To view your IP (Internet Protocol) Address,   

To view your Gateway (proxy server),  

Default setting = Gateway A

To select a CDPD Side preference,

Default setting = B

To enable/disable the CDPD Sleep mode,

Press 

 and select 4 Preferences, 3 Volume.

Select 1 Ringer, 2 Msg Alerts, 3 Keypad, or 4 Earpiece 
and press OK softkey.
Press up or down arrow to adjust volume and press OK 
softkey. You can also press the right softkey to scroll through 
the four types of volume controls.

Press 

 and select 4 Preferences, 4 Data Network.

Select 1 Select IP.
Your own IP address displays. 
If your service provider instructs you, the Setup softkey is 

available for changes.

Press 

 and select 4 Preferences, 4 Data Network.

Select 2 Select Gateway.
Gateway A displays.

Press 

 and select 4 Preferences, 4 Data Network.

Select 3 CDPD Side.
Select A, B, Prefer A, or Prefer B and press OK softkey.

Press 

 and select 4 Preferences, 4 Data Network.

Select 4 CDPD Sleep.
Select Disable or Enable and press OK softkey.
