About the Language Setup – Continued

MENU LANG: Used to select the menu language 
of a DVD disc. The correct performance of this 
option depends on the menu language supported 
by a DVD disc. If you select a language, which 
isn’t supported by a DVD disc, this unit will use the 
default subtitle language of the DVD disc.

EXIT SETUP: Used to exit the setup menu. 
 
 
About the Audio Setup 
The audio setup menu is composed of the following setup options: AUDIO OUTMIC SETUP
KEYECHO, and MIC VOL
 
1. 
AUDIO OUT: Used to turn on or off the S/PDIF 
feature. The word “S/PDIF” is short for “Sony / 
Phillips Digital Interface Format” and it is used to 
output the digital audio contents to the external 
audio device.  
a. 
SPDIF/OFF: Select this option to turn off 
this S/PDIF. When it is selected, the 
digital output will be disabled. 
b. 
SPDIF/RAW: Select this option to 
deliver the raw digital audio contents to the external audio device if the device 
has the capability of Dolby Digital decoding.  
c. 
SPDIF/PCM: Select this option to deliver the digital audio contents in the PCM 
format to the external audio device if the device doesn’t have the capability of 
Dolby Digital decoding but have the capability of PCM decoding. 
 
2. 
MIC SETUP: When this option is set to “AUTO”, this unit detects the installed microphone 
automatically and enables the microphone function.

KEY: Used to adjust the sound key (or tone).
