Programmable Remote Control
Model SP520B
Instructions
The SP520 Programmable Remote Control works with Intermatic Wireless Alarm Model SP210B.
LOCATION OF CONTROLS
1. ARM button
2. Disarm button
BATTERY REPLACEMENT (SEE FIGURES BELOW)
1. Access the battery compartment on the front of the unit by removing the back cover. Press 
on the upper center part of the cover and slide it down. Insert one (1) 12V 23 A battery  
following the polarity diagram.
2. To maintain the proper battery polarity, duplicate existing battery placement in the battery 
compartment.
3. Replace battery compartment cover.
BATTERY PRECAUTIONS
Follow these precautions when using batteries in this device:
1. Use only the size and type of batteries specified.
2. Be sure to follow the correct polarity when installing
the batteries as indicated in the battery 
compartment. Reversed batteries may cause 
damage of the device.
3. Do not mix different type of batteries together (e.g.
Alkaline and Carbon-zinc) or old batteries with fresh
ones.
4. If the device is not to be used for a long period of
time, remove the batteries to preventdamage 
or injury from possible battery  leakage.
5. Do not try to recharge batteries not intended to be
recharged; they can overheat and rupture. (Follow
battery manufacturer’s directions.)
6. Will not function properly if batteries are not 
maintained. Check performance regularly.
NOTE:  Not intended for use in exposed outdoor
applications. Will not operate properly if used in
below freezing temperatures (32˚F) or damp 
locations.
PROGRAMMING THE REMOTE CONTROL
1. Remove battery compartment cover of the remote
control unit SP520B.
2. Locate the Programmable Switch and set 4 switches
at the same positions as respective switches of the
Main Alarm Unit  SP210B.
3. Replace battery compartment cover.
Arming Alarm
When leaving the protected area, 
point the Remote Control at the Motion Detector unit and
press the “ARM/DISARM” alternative action button. The Status LED of the Main Alarm Unit will
flash and the Siren will chirp to indicate the unit is armed. There will be a delay of 30 seconds
to enable you to leave the protected area before the alarm sounds. On the PROGRAMMABLE
REMOTE CONTROL the Status LED will light up for a brief period as an indication of proper
remote operation and battery power.
Disarming Alarm
When returning to the protected area, 
simply point the Remote Control at the Main Alarm
Unit and press the “DISARM” button. This will disarm the unit. The 10 seconds delay enables
you to get to the alarm before it sounds.
NOTE: When the “DISARM” button is pressed, the Status LED of the PROGRAMMABLE 
REMOTE CONTROL will light up for a brief period as an indication of proper remote operation 
and battery power. The Status LED of the Main Alarm Unit will stop to flash and the Siren will
stop to chirp to indicate the unit is disarmed.
Range of PROGRAMMABLE REMOTE CONTROL OPERATION
The Programmable Remote Control has a 18 - foot range.
Care and Maintenance
To clean the unit housing use a soft cloth slightly dampened with water and wipe dry. Do not
use chemical agents as this may damage and discolor the unit.
