Troubleshooting
Problem:
The scanner lamp fails to light, flickers or dims
Solution:
1. Check to ensure the power adapter is plugged in completely.
2. The scanning lamp is failing or has failed and needs to be
changed. Please contact your dealer or UMAX Technical
Support.

The scanner test failed.
Solution:
Make sure the interface cable is properly connected to the
FireWire/IEEE-1394 connector port on your computer. Find and
refresh the scanner after reinserting the cable. Try the second
Firewire port on the computer if available.

Your system resources are low on a Windows PC. Your system

at a given time. This should be at 90% or above to run a scanner.
