Download
You can freely download the SmartDraw Photo Trial Edition from
. After purchasing a copy of SmartDraw Photo, you
can download the full program any time by logging into your account.
After downloading the install file, you must actually run it to install SmartDraw
Photo on your system.  The easiest way to do this is to download the file to your
Windows desktop. This will automatically create a new icon on your desktop.
Double-click the icon to launch the setup program.
CD
If you purchased SmartDraw Photo on a CD, all you have to do is insert the CD
into your CD-ROM drive.  The setup program will launch automatically.  If you
do not see a Welcome dialog, you will have to run the setup program manually.
The easiest way to do this is to use the Run command under the Windows Start
menu.  In the Run dialog, just type D:\Setup (where D: is the path of your CD-
ROM drive) and follow the instructions.
Installing SmartDraw Photo on a Network
To install SmartDraw Photo on a network, simply install it on the server as
described above.  For each client that will have access to the server, create a
shortcut to SmartDraw Photo on the client system and run the program once.
This will install SmartDraw Photo on the client system.
You must have a network license to share one copy of SmartDraw Photo
between multiple users on a network.
SmartDraw Photo will not run from a network drive unless you have a network
license.
SmartDraw Photo measures the number of different users that have accessed the
program on the network (not including the server itself) and limits the number of
unique users to the number of licenses you have purchased.  If a user has
accessed the program but no longer needs to use it, you can free that user's
license by accessing the network administration settings under the Licenses
command in the Help menu.
Running SmartDraw Photo
Once installed, SmartDraw Photo is added to your Start menu and desktop.  To
run SmartDraw Photo, double-click the desktop icon or launch the program from
your Start menu.
Scan for Photos
The first time you run the program, you will be presented with the Scan for
Photos
dialog. The scan will help you locate images on your system.
